Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Sustainable Development has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

LACTALIS CANADA INC. (formerly Parmalat Canada Inc.) – DAIRY PLANT – FILE: 3285.10

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Lactalis Canada Inc. for the installation and operation of a reverse osmosis system to process whey at the existing dairy plant located at 26 Elm Avenue in Grunthal, Manitoba. The polished water resulting from the reverse osmosis system will be reused within the dairy plant.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the proposal should contact Jennifer Winsor, Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Jennifer.winsor@gov.mb.ca or by telephone at 204-945-7012, not later than November 30, 2019. Une demande en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposée par Lactalis Canada Inc. pour l’installation et l’exploitation d’un système d’osmose inversée dans une usine laitière située au 26, avenue Elm, à Grunthal, au Manitoba. L’eau purifiée à l’aide du système d’osmose inversée sera réutilisée dans l’usine laitière.

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

PARRISH AND HEIMBECKER LIMITED – BULK MATERIAL HANDLING FACILITY – R.M. OF SPRINGFIELD– FILE: 6028.00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Parrish and Heimbecker Limited for the construction and operation of a grain elevator, bulk material handling facility including granular fertilizer, agrichemical warehouse and seed treatment handling and storage facilities to be sited at NW 31-10-6 EPM and NE 31-10-6 EPM in the Rural Municipality of Springfield, Manitoba. The development will consist of a grain elevator and annex with a combined capacity of 25,081 metric tonnes, a 43 x 31 x 12 metre granular fertilizer storage building, a 16 x 46 x 5 metre agrichemical warehouse, and a 6 x 6 metre certified seed treatment facility.

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé par Parrish and Heimbecker Limited pour la construction et l’exploitation d’un silo à grain, d’une installation de manutention de matériaux en vrac, y compris d’engrais granulaire, d’un entrepôt agrochimique et d’installations de manutention et d’entreposage de traitement des semences situés au N.-O 31-10-6 EMP et N.-E 31-10-6 EMP dans la municipalité rurale de Springfield (Manitoba). L’aménagement comprendra un silo à grain et une annexe d’une capacité combinée de 25 081 tonnes métriques, un bâtiment d’entreposage d’engrais granulaire de 43 x 31 x 12 mètres, un entrepôt agrochimique de 16 x 46 x 5 mètres et une installation de traitement des semences certifiées de 6 x 6 mètres.

RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF OAKVIEW

Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Sustainable Development has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF OAKVIEW –RAPID CITY WASTEWATER TREATMENT LAGOON EXPANSION – FILE: 157.10

A proposal has been filed on behalf of the Rural Municipality of Oakview by SNC-Lavalin for the construction and operation of an expansion for the Rapid City Wastewater Treatment Lagoon. The expansion would involve a new secondary cell located immediately south of the existing facility in NW 20-13-19W. Construction is anticipated in 2021. The expanded facility would continue to discharge treated effluent to the Little Saskatchewan River each year, during the period June 15 – October 31.
