ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF DE SALABERRY
Share Your Views concerning the proposed expansion of a mixed livestock operation (establishing sows: farrow to finish, layers and pullets in an existing operation) Carey Colony (TRC 12-066)
The Manitoba government has received a proposal from Carey Colony to expand its operation from 376 to 1462 animal units. The proposal involves adding 900 sows: farrow to finish; 24,800 layers; 12,400 pullets to an existing 9,000 heavy hen operation, while eliminating 2,000 growers finishers at NW ¼ 26-5-3 EPM and N ½ of SE ¼ 26-5-3 EPM.
If you would like to share your opinion concerning this proposal, you are invited to contact the Manitoba government by sending either a letter or an email with your name clearly identified to (TRC@gov.mb.ca) specifically referencing TRC 12-066 no later than March 23, 2020.
After this date, the proposal will be dealt with by the Livestock Technical Review Committee.
Information submitted in response to this proposal is considered public information and will be made available to the proponent and placed on the public registry.

Exprimez-vous concernant la proposition d’expansion d’une exploitation de bétail mixte (ajout de truies : naissage-finition, de pondeuses et de poulettes dans une exploitation existante) à la colonie Carey (TRC 12-066)
Le gouvernement du Manitoba a reçu une proposition de la colonie Carey qui souhaite agrandir son exploitation en la faisant passer de 376 à 1 462 unités animales. La proposition comprend l’ajout de 900 truies : naissage-finition, de 24 800 pondeuses et de 12 400 poulettes dans une exploitation de 9 000 dindes lourdes, et l’élimination de 2 000 porcs en croissance-finition à N.-O. ¼ 26-5-3 EMP et N.½ de S.-E. ¼ 26-5-3 EMP.

The Manitoba government has received a proposal from Crocus Swine to expand its operation from 3200 to 6000 sows: farrow to weanling (800 to 1500 animal units) at SE ¼ 27-07-01 WPM.
If you would like to share your opinion concerning this proposal, you are invited to contact the Manitoba government by sending either a letter or an email with your name clearly identified to (TRC@gov.mb.ca) specifically referencing TRC 12-065 no later than March 20, 2020.
After this date, the proposal will be dealt with by the Livestock Technical Review Committee.
