Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

MERIT FUNCTIONAL FOODS CORPORATION – PEA CANOLA PROTEIN PROCESSING PLANT – FILE: 6044.00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Merit Functional Foods Corporation for the construction and operation of a 20,000 t/year (Phase 1) and expansion to a 50,000 t/year (Phase 2) pea canola protein processing plant located at SE 34-11-2 EPM, Lots 6, 7, and 8, Plan 64621, WLTO in the BrookPort Business Park in the R.M. of Rosser. Wastewater will be pre-treated at the facility and discharged from the development to the R.M. of Rosser with eventual discharge to the North End Water Pollution Control Centre (NEWPCC) in Winnipeg.

Avis de dépôt de projet en vertu de la Loi sur l'environnement

Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l'activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d'examen :

MERIT FUNCTIONAL FOODS CORPORATION – USINE DE TRAITEMENT DES PROTÉINES DE POIS ET DE CANOLA – DOSSIER : 6044.00

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé par Merit Functional Foods Corporation pour la construction et l’exploitation d’une usine de traitement des protéines de pois et de canola d’une capacité de 20 000 tonnes par année (phase 1), qui augmentera à 50 000 tonnes par année (phase 2), située au S.-E. 34-11-2 EMP, lots 6, 7 et 8, plan d’arpentage no 64621 enregistré au BTFW, au parc industriel de BrookPort dans la municipalité rurale de Rosser. Les eaux usées seront prétraitées à l’usine et rejetées vers la municipalité rurale de Rosser, en vue de leur écoulement éventuel vers le centre de contrôle de la pollution de l’eau du quartier North End à Winnipeg.
