Notice of Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act Application

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received an application pursuant to The Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

FLIN FLON & DISTRICT ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL, INC. - FLIN FLON RECYCLING CENTRE – FILE: 6052.00

A Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act application has been filed by Flin Flon & District Environment Council Inc. for the operation of the hazardous waste collection, storage and transfer depot at 9 Timber Lane, Flin Flon, MB. The facility accepts non-hazardous and hazardous waste solids, liquids and gases; temporarily stores, processes or directly transports them to a licensed facility for further processing, reuse or disposal. All material is transported from this facility and nothing is disposed of at this location.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the application should contact the department in writing or by email to Edwin Yazon, Environmental Engineer at Edwin.Yazon@gov.mb.ca, not later than JUNE 20, 2020. Avis de demande en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses

Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu une demande conformément à la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses relativement aux activités suivantes et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen.

CENTRE DE RECYCLAGE DE FLIN FLON – FLIN FLON & DISTRICT ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL INC. – DOSSIER no 6052.00

Une demande en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses a été déposée par le Flin Flon & District Environment Council Inc. pour l’exploitation du dépôt visant la collecte, l’entreposage et le transfert de déchets dangereux, lequel est situé au 9, Timber Lane, Flin Flon (Manitoba). L’installation accepte les déchets solides, liquides et gazeux non dangereux et dangereux; elle permet de les stocker temporairement, de les traiter ou de les transporter directement vers une installation visée par une licence où ils feront l’objet d’un traitement ultérieur, seront réutilisés ou éliminés. Le transport s’effectue depuis l’installation et aucun déchet n’est éliminé à cet endroit.
