Notice of Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act Application

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received an application pursuant to The Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF YELLOWHEAD STRATHCLAIR HAZARDOUS WASTE DEPOT – FILE: 6076.00

A Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act application has been filed by Rural Municipality of Yellowhead for the operation of the hazardous waste depot at the Strathclair Waste Disposal Ground located at SE 12-17-22 WPM, RM of Yellowhead, MB. The material will be transported to a licensed facility for further processing, reuse or disposal. All material is transported from this facility and no hazardous waste is disposed of at this location.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the application should contact the department in writing or by email to Edwin Yazon, Environmental Engineer at Edwin.Yazon@gov.mb.ca, not later than NOVEMBER 2, 2020. Avis de demande en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses

Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu une demande conformément à la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses relativement à l’exploitation suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen.

MUNICIPALITÉ RURALE DE YELLOWHEAD – DÉPÔT DE DÉCHETS DANGEREUX DE STRATHCLAIR – DOSSIER N° : 6076.00

Une demande en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses a été déposée par la municipalité rurale de Yellowhead, visant l’exploitation du dépôt de déchets dangereux du site destiné à l’élimination des déchets de Strathclair, situé à SE 12-17-22 O.M.P. dans la municipalité rurale de Yellowhead, au Manitoba. Les déchets seront transportés vers une installation faisant l’objet d’une licence en vue de leur transformation ultérieure, réutilisation ou élimination. Tout le matériel sera transporté ailleurs et aucun déchet dangereux ne sera éliminé sur les lieux.

Toute personne susceptible d’être touchée par l’exploitation susmentionnée qui désire formuler des commentaires concernant cette demande est invitée à communiquer avec le ministère par écrit ou par courriel, en s’adressant à Edwin Yazon, ingénieur en environnement, à Edwin.Yazon@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard LE 2 NOVEMBRE 2020.
