Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

TRUE NORTH FOODS LTD. (6381023 MANITOBA LTD.) – TRUE NORTH FOODS GASIFICATION FACILITY – FILE: 6199.00

True North Foods Ltd. (6381023 Manitoba Ltd.) proposes to install and operate a 350 kg per hour capacity Rapid Organic Converter gasification facility at the True North Foods slaughterhouse and meat processing facility located in the Rural Manucipality of Dufferin. The gasification facility processes specific risk materials (SRM) and other inedible wastes generated at the slaughterhouse and meat processing facility.

Anyone likely to be affected by the proposal and who wishes to comment, should contact Eshetu Beshada, Senior Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Eshetu.Beshada@gov.mb.ca no later than February 05, 2024. TRUE NORTH FOODS LTD. (6381023 MANITOBA LTD.) – INSTALLATION DE GAZÉIFICATION DE TRUE NORTH FOODS – DOSSIER : 6199.00

True North Foods Ltd. (6381023 Manitoba Ltd.) propose d’installer et d’exploiter une installation de gazéification à convertisseur organique rapide d’une capacité de 350 kg par heure à l’usine d’abattage et de transformation de viande de True North Foods située dans la municipalité rurale de Dufferin. L’installation de gazéification transformera les matières à risque spécifiées et d’autres produits non comestibles à l’usine d’abattage et de transformation de la viande.

Toute personne susceptible d’être touchée par le dépôt de projet susmentionné qui désire formuler des commentaires sur le projet est invitée à communiquer avec Eshetu Beshada, ingénieur principal en environnement, par écrit ou par courriel à l’adresse Eshetu.Beshada@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard le 5 février 2024.
