Notice of Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act Application

Manitoba Sustainable Development has received an application pursuant to The Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

THE PAS & AREA RECYCLING CENTRE HAZARDOUS WASTE DEPOT – FILE: 6033.00

A Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act application has been filed by the Town of The Pas, Opaskawayak Cree Nation and the Rural Municipality of Kelsey Centre Inc. for the operation of a full-service hazardous waste depot at The Pas & Area Recycling Centre located at 8 Meadows Road, Highway 10 North (NE 17-56-26 WPM) in the Rural Municipality of Kelsey, Manitoba. The material is transported to a licensed facility for further processing, reuse or disposal. All material is transported from this facility and no hazardous waste is disposed of at this location.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the application should contact Andrea Bergman, Environment Officer, in writing or by email to Andrea.Bergman@gov.mb.ca or by telephone at 204-945-4384, not later than NOVEMBER 25, 2019. Avis de demande en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses

Le ministère du Développement durable du Manitoba a reçu une demande conformément à la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses concernant l’exploitation suivante, et invite le public à participer au procédé d’examen :

DÉPÔT DE DÉCHETS DANGEREUX DU CENTRE DE RECYCLAGE DE THE PAS ET DES ENVIRONS – DOSSIER NO 6033.00

Une demande en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses a été déposée par The Pas, la Nation crie Opaskwayak et la municipalité rurale de Kelsey pour l’exploitation d’un dépôt de déchets dangereux à service complet au centre de recyclage de The Pas et des environs, qui se trouve au 8, chemin Meadows, route 10 Nord (NE 17-56-26 O.M.P) dans la municipalité rurale de Kelsey, au Manitoba. Les déchets seront transportés dans une installation visée par une licence où ils feront l’objet d’un traitement ultérieur, seront réutilisés ou éliminés. Le transport s’effectuera depuis l’installation et aucun déchet dangereux ne sera éliminé à cet endroit.
