Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received an application pursuant to The Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:
ALONSA HAZARDOUS WASTE DEPOT – FILE: 6043.00
A Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act application has been filed by the Rural Municipality of Alonsa for the operation of a hazardous waste depot at the Alonsa Landfill located within NE 18-21-11 WPM in the Rural Municipality of Alonsa, Manitoba. The material is transported to a licensed facility for further processing, reuse or disposal. All material is transported from this facility and no hazardous waste is disposed of at this location.
Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the application should contact Andrea Bergman, Environment Officer, in writing or by email to Andrea.Bergman@gov.mb.ca or by telephone at 204-945-4384, not later than MARCH 13, 2020. Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu une demande conformément à la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen.
DÉPÔT DE DÉCHETS DANGEREUX D’ALONSA - DOSSIER 6043.00
Une demande en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses a été déposée par la municipalité rurale d’Alonsa pour l'exploitation d'un dépôt de déchets dangereux à l’emplacement de la décharge d’Alonsa, qui est située au lieu-dit NE 18-21-11 O.M.P. de la municipalité rurale d’Alonsa, au Manitoba. Les déchets seront transportés dans une installation visée par une licence où ils feront l'objet d'un traitement ultérieur, seront réutilisés ou éliminés. Le transport s'effectuera depuis l'installation et aucun déchet dangereux ne sera éliminé à cet endroit.

The material is transported to a licensed facility for further processing, reuse or disposal. All material is transported from this facility and no hazardous waste is disposed of at this location.
