Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

DOUBLE DIAMOND FARM SUPPLY COMPANY LTD. – ELGIN FACILITY – FILE: 3706.10

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed on behalf of Double Diamond Farm Supply for the operation of an existing crop protection products warehouse and the construction and operation of a new granular fertilizer storage, blending and distribution facility in NE 32-5-21W. The location is south of Provincial Trunk Highway 23 on the south side of Elgin.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the proposal should contact Bruce Webb, Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Bruce.Webb@gov.mb.ca not later than April 19, 2021. Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé au nom de Double Diamond Farm Supply pour l’exploitation d’un entrepôt existant de produits de protection des récoltes et pour la construction et l’exploitation d’une installation d’entreposage, de mélange et de distribution d’engrais granulaire au N.-E. 32-5-21O. L’emplacement est situé au sud de la route provinciale à grande circulation nº 23, du côté sud d’Elgin.

Toute personne susceptible de subir les répercussions de l’activité susmentionnée et désirant s’exprimer sur le projet est invitée à communiquer avec Bruce Web, ingénieur en environnement, par courrier postal ou par courriel à l’adresse Bruce.Webb@gov.mb.ca, et ce, au plus tard le 19 avril 2021. Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF GIMLI – WASTEWATER EVAPORATION POND FACILITY – FILE: 6090.00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed for construction of a three cell evaporative pond on portions of SW10-21-3 EPM in the Rural Municipality of Gimli in order to manage the dry house cleaning wastewater and annual maintenance shutdown wastewater generated from Diageo Gimli plant. The wastewater in each cell will be managed in rotation and each cell will accept wastewater for one year followed by two years of natural and/or active supplemental evaporation. The wastewater will not be discharged into the environment.

Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :

MUNICIPALITÉ RURALE DE GIMLI – INSTALLATION DE BASSIN D’ÉVAPORATION DES EAUX USÉES – DOSSIER N° 6090.00

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé pour la construction d’un bassin d’évaporation à trois cellules sur des parties du S.-O. 10-21-3 EMP dans la municipalité rurale de Gimli, afin de gérer les eaux usées du nettoyage du séchoir et les eaux usées de la fermeture annuelle pour entretien, provenant de l’usine Diageo à Gimli. Les eaux usées dans chaque cellule seront gérées en rotation, et chaque cellule recevra les eaux usées pendant une année, suivie de deux années d’évaporation naturelle ou supplémentaire active. Les eaux usées ne seront pas déversées dans l’environnement.

Toute personne susceptible d’être concernée par l’activité ci-dessus et qui souhaite formuler des commentaires sur la proposition doit communiquer avec Asit Dey, ingénieur en environnement, par écrit ou par courriel à Asit.Dey@gov.mb.ca@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard le 22 avril 2021.
