Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

CAN AMERICAN CORRUGATING COMPANY LTD. – MOBILE CONCRETE BATCH PLANT #1- FILE NO. 6125.00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Can American Corrugating Company Ltd. for the installation and operation of a model B-100 mobile concrete batch plant. The mobile concrete batch plant can produce 100 m3 per hour of concrete and will operate at various locations throughout Manitoba during the construction season. The proposed concrete plant is equipped with an emission control device to capture potential dust. The plant would produce concrete for various projects in Manitoba.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the proposal should contact Eshetu Beshada, Senior Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Eshetu.Beshada@gov.mb.ca not later than November 20, 2021. Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :

CAN-AMERICAN CORRUGATING COMPANY LTD. – USINE DE MÉLANGE DE BÉTON MOBILE NO 1 – Dossier 6125.00

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé par Can-American Corrugating Company Ltd. en vue de l’installation et de l’utilisation d’une usine de mélange de béton mobile (modèle B-100). L’usine de mélange de béton mobile peut produire 100 m3 de béton par heure et sera utilisée à différents endroits au Manitoba pendant la saison de la construction. L’usine de mélange de béton proposée est munie d’un dispositif de contrôle des émissions pour capter la poussière possible. L’usine produirait du béton pour divers projets au Manitoba.

LOVEDAY MUSHROOM FARMS LTD. – MANUFACTURING AND COMPOSTING FACILITY – FILE: 6127.00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Loveday Mushroom Farms Ltd. for a mushroom manufacturing and commercial composting operation proposed to be located on portions of SW ¼ 13-11-4 EPM (23080 Cedar Lake Road, Oakbank, Manitoba) within the Rural Municipality of Springfield. The Development involves mixing of organic raw materials including straw and broiler chicken manure into specially designed aerated concrete composting bunkers. All surface runoff and wastewater from the composting operation is captured in holding tanks and is reused in the composting process. The Development equips a technology to mitigate any odours generated from the composting operation.

POTASH AND AGRI DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF MANITOBA LTD. (PADCOM) – POTASH SOLUTION MINE

Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

Potash and Agri Development Corporation of Manitoba Ltd. (PADCOM) – Potash Solution Mine – FILE: 6126 .00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by PADCOM for the construction and operation of a potash mine and potash processing plant located on section 28-20-29 WPM in the Hamlet of Harrowby approximately 16 kilometers west of Russell in the R.M. of Russell-Binscarth. The potash will be mined using solution mining and processed to separate the potash from the brine solution in the processing plant. Following an initial mining production test of up to 70,000 tonnes of potash, the mine would be scaled to produce up to 250,000 tonnes per year of potash.

Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :

Potash and Agri Development Corporation of Manitoba Ltd. (PADCOM) – Potash Solution Mine – DOSSIER : 6126.00

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé par PADCOM en vue de la construction et de l’exploitation d’une mine de potasse et d’une usine de transformation de la potasse dans la section 28-20-29 O.M.P. du hameau de Harroby, à environ 16 kilomètres à l’ouest de Russell dans la M.R. de Russell-Binscarth. L’exploitation se fera selon la méthode d’extraction par solution et le traitement pour séparer la potasse de la solution hypersaline se fera à l’usine de transformation. À la suite d’un test de production minière préliminaire pouvant atteindre 70 000 tonnes de potasse, la mine serait mise à l’échelle pour produire jusqu’à 250 000 tonnes de potasse par an.

TERRACO – ILES DES CHENES BULK MATERIAL HANDLING FACILITY – FILE: 3107.00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Terraco for the construction and operation of an agrichemical warehouse located on private land at SE ¼ 28-8-4 EPM in the R.M. of Richot, near Iles des Chenes. The development will consist of a 12 by 18 meter warehouse that will store various herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other pest control products.

TERRACO – INSTALLATION DE MANUTENTION DU VRAC À L’ÎLE-DES-CHÊNES – DOSSIER : 3107.00

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé par Terraco en vue de la construction et de l’utilisation d’un entrepôt de produits agrochimiques sur un terrain privé situé dans le quart S.E. de la section 28-8-4 EMP, dans la M.R. de Ritchot, près d’Île-des-Chênes. Dans cet entrepôt de 12 sur 18 mètres seront stockés divers herbicides, fongicides, insecticides et autres produits antiparasitaires.
