Notice of Environment Act Proposal
Manitoba Environment, Climate and Parks has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:
RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF MORRIS – COMMUNITY OF ROSENORT – WASTEWATER TREATEMENT LAGOON UPGRADE – FILE: 2533.30
On behalf of the Rural Municipality of Morris, AECOM Canada Ltd. has filed an Environment Act proposal for the upgrade and operation of the existing Community of Rosenort wastewater treatment lagoon located at NE 09-06-01 EPM, Northeast of the Community of Rosenort, in the Rural Municipality of Morris. The Rural Municipality of Morris owns the land on which the upgrade is to occur. The upgrade work includes construction of two new secondary cells, conversion of the existing secondary cell to make a larger primary cell, installation of a cell interconnecting and discharge piping system, and construction of a new wetland for phosphorous removal. The discharge route will remain unchanged; effluent will be discharged into an existing discharge ditch then into the McTavish Drain, which drains into the Red River.

Avis de dépôt de projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement
Le ministère de l’Environnement, du Climat et des Parcs du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :
MUNICIPALITÉ RURALE DE MORRIS – AGGLOMÉRATION DE ROSENORT – MODERNISATION DE L’ÉTANG D’ÉPURATION DE L’EAU USÉE – DOSSIER : 2533.30
AECOM Canada Ltd. a déposé, au nom de la municipalité rurale de Morris, un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement visant la modernisation et l’exploitation de l’étang d’épuration de l’eau usée existant de l’agglomération de Rosenort, situé au N. E. 09-06-01 E.M.P., au nord-est de l’agglomération de Rosenort, dans la municipalité rurale de Morris. La municipalité rurale de Morris possède le bien-fonds où la modernisation aura lieu. Les travaux de modernisation comprennent la construction de deux cellules secondaires, la conversion de la cellule secondaire existante afin de créer une cellule principale de plus grande taille, l’installation d’un système de conduite pour le raccordement des cellules et l’évacuation, et la construction d’un milieu humide pour l’élimination du phosphore. Le chemin d’évacuation demeurera le même; l’effluent sera évacué dans un fossé existant, puis dans le drain McTavish, qui s’écoule dans la rivière Rouge.
Toute personne susceptible d’être touchée par l’activité susmentionnée qui désire formuler des commentaires sur le projet est invitée à communiquer avec Bereket Assefa, ingénieur en environnement principal, par écrit ou par courriel à Bereket.Assefa@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard le 7 avril 2022. Les observations fournies relativement à cette demande sont considérées comme relevant du domaine public. Elles seront donc mises à la disposition de l’auteur de la demande et placées dans le registre public établi en vertu de l’article 17 de la Loi sur l’environnement.
