Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act
regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

Sun Gro Horticulture Canada Ltd. – Evergreen Bog Peat Harvesting – FILE: 628.10

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Sun Gro Horticulture Canada Ltd. for construction,
operation, and recovery of an expansion of the existing peat mining development at the Evergreen
Bog. The proposed expansion is located on Crown land within parts of Sections 16 and 17,
Township 13, Range 10, E1, in the R.M. of Lac du Bonnet.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the
proposal should contact Elise Dagdick, Environment Officer, in writing or by email at
Elise.Dagdick@gov.mb.ca not later than DECEMBER 05, 2020. Further information is

Information submitted in response to this proposal is considered public information and will be
