Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF SPRINGFIELD – REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT LAGOON EXPANSION – FILE: 4929.20

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed on behalf of the Rural Municipality of Springfield for the expansion of its wastewater treatment lagoon. The expansion would involve three additional secondary cells in SE 11-11-5E, immediately south of the existing facility. Treated effluent would continue to be discharged to the Cooks Creek Diversion. The expansion would provide treatment capacity for the municipality until approximately 2032. Construction would occur in the summer/fall of 2021.

Avis de projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement

Le ministère de la Conservation et du Climat du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :

MUNICIPALITÉ RURALE DE SPRINGFIELD – EXPANSION RÉGIONALE DE L’ÉTANG D’ÉPURATION DE L’EAU USÉE – DOSSIER : 4929,20

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé au nom de la municipalité rurale de Springfield pour l’expansion de son étang d’épuration de l’eau usée. L’expansion concernerait trois cellules secondaires supplémentaires dans le sud-est de la section 11-11-5E, immédiatement au sud de l’installation existante. L’effluent traité continuera d’être déversé vers Cooks Creek Diversion. L’expansion offrirait à la municipalité une capacité de traitement jusqu’en 2032 environ. Les travaux de construction auraient lieu durant l’été/l’automne 2021.
