Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

GOLF PARK RESORT INC. – RIDGEWOOD SOUTH CAMPGROUND EXPANSION – FILE: 6131.00

An Environment Act Proposal has been filed by Golf Park Resort Inc. for the expansion and operation of a seasonal campground in NE 9-7-7E in the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne. The campground currently has 119 sites served by five septic tank and wastewater disposal field facilities. An additional 38 sites and a new septic tank and wastewater disposal field would be added in the proposed expansion. Completion of the new facilities is planned for the late spring of 2022.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the proposal should contact Bruce Webb, Senior Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Bruce.Webb@gov.mb.ca not later than December 25, 2021. Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has received proposals pursuant to The Environment Act and The Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

OPASKWAYAK CREE NATION – REGIONAL SOLID WASTE & RECYCLING FACILITY – FILE: 6122.00

An Environment Act Proposal and a Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act Proposal have been filed by Opaskwayak Cree Nation for the construction and operation of a new Class 1 Waste Disposal Ground located on portions of NW 34-54-26 WPM, NW 34-54-26 WPM, and NW 33-54-26 WPM. The Development will provide waste disposal services, composting, collection of recyclable materials, and collection of household hazardous wastes for Opaskwayak Cree Nation, The Pas, Rural Municipality of Kelsey, and surrounding communities, potentially including communities from Saskatchewan. The household hazardous waste is transported to a licensed facility for further processing, reuse or disposal.
