Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate invites your comment on the following proposal:

SWANSFLEET ALLIANCE – IRRIGATION PROJECT – FILE: 6173.00

Swansfleet Alliance seeks to build an irrigation project in the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne. They plan to divert water from the Assiniboine River to irrigate four quarter sections of cropland on 8-9-9 WPM. If approved, they will build the project in 2023 and finish by 2024 or 2025.

Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the proposal should contact Jay Mak, Senior Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Jay.Mak@gov.mb.ca no later than April 24, 2023. SWANSFLEET ALLIANCE – PROJET D’IRRIGATION – DOSSIER : 6173.00

Swansfleet Alliance veut construire un projet d’irrigation dans la municipalité de Norfolk Treherne. L’entreprise compte détourner l’eau de la rivière Assiniboine dans le but d’irriguer quatre quarts de terres agricoles dans la section 8-9-9 EMP. Si le projet est approuvé, les travaux de construction se feront en 2023 et se termineront en 2024 ou en 2025.

Toute personne susceptible d’être touchée par l’activité susmentionnée qui désire formuler des commentaires sur le projet est invitée à communiquer avec Jay Mak, ingénieur principal en environnement, par écrit ou par courriel à l’adresse Jay.Mak@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard le 24 avril 2023.
