Notice of Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act Application

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following application:

MUNICIPALITY OF GRASSLAND – HARTNEY HAZARDOUS WASTE DEPOT – FILE: 6240.00

The Municipality of Grassland proposes to operate a full household hazardous waste collection depot at a landfill site located at NW 22-6-23 WPM within the Municipality of Grassland, Manitoba. The Municipality will transport the hazardous waste to a licensed facility for further processing, reuse, or disposal. No hazardous waste will be disposed of at this location.

Anyone likely to be affected by the proposal and who wishes to comment, should contact Mehak Bajwa, Senior Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Mehak.Bajwa@gov.mb.ca no later than April 28, 2025. Avis de dépôt de projet en vertu de la Loi sur la manutention et le transport des marchandises dangereuses

Le ministère de l’Environnement et du Changement climatique invite le public à formuler des commentaires sur le projet suivant :

MUNICIPALITÉ DE GRASSLAND – CENTRE DE COLLECTE DE DÉCHETS DANGEREUX DE HARTNEY – DOSSIER : 6240.00

La municipalité de Grassland propose d’exploiter un centre de collecte acceptant toutes les catégories de déchets ménagers dangereux sur un site d’enfouissement situé dans la partie nord-ouest de la section 22-6-23 O.M.P., dans la municipalité de Grassland, au Manitoba. La municipalité compte transporter les déchets dangereux vers une installation autorisée en vue de leur transformation, de leur réutilisation ou de leur élimination. Aucun déchet dangereux ne sera éliminé sur place.

Toute personne susceptible d’être touchée par le projet susmentionné qui désire formuler des commentaires est invitée à communiquer avec Mehak Bajwa, ingénieure principale en environnement, par écrit ou par courriel à l’adresse Mehak.Bajwa@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard le 28 avril 2025.
