Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

MCILVENNA BAY OPERATING LTD. - CONCENTRATE LOADING FACILITY – FILE: 6264.00

McIlvenna Bay Operating Ltd. proposes the construction and operation of a copper and zinc concentrate loading facility located on SE 31-64-26 WPM south of the Town of Cranberry Portage in the Rural Municipality of Kelsey to transload concentrates from the McIlvenna Bay Operation in Saskatchewan into railcars for shipping to Canadian refineries via existing rail lines.

Anyone affected by the proposal who wishes to provide feedback should submit their comments using the online form at www.manitoba.ca/sd/eal/registries by July 30, 2025.

Information submitted in response to this proposal will be available to the proponent and placed on the public registry per Section 17 of The Environment Act.

McIlvenna Bay Operating Ltd. propose la construction et l’exploitation d’une installation de chargement de concentrés de cuivre et de zinc située sur le quart sud-est de la section 31-64-26 O.M.P. au sud de la ville de Cranberry Portage dans la municipalité rurale de Kelsey, afin de transborder les concentrés du site McIlvenna Bay Operation en Saskatchewan dans des wagons qui seront expédiés aux raffineries canadiennes par les voies ferrées existantes.
