Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

POTASH AND AGRI DEVELOPMENT OF MANITOBA INC. (PADCOM) POTASH MINE – COOLING POND – FILE: 6126.10

PADCOM proposes the construction and operation of a 5-acre (approximately 2 hectares) cooling pond adjacent to the existing mine site located on section 28-20-29 WPM, in the Hamlet of Harrowby, Rural Municipality of Russell-Binscarth. No discharge to the environment from the cooling pond is proposed.

MINE DE POTASSE PADCOM (POTASH AGRI DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF MANITOBA) – BASSIN DE REFROIDISSEMENT – DOSSIER: 6126.10

PADCOM propose la construction et l’exploitation d’un bassin de refroidissement de 5 acres (environ 2 hectares) adjacent au site minier existant situé sur la section 28-20-29 O.M.P., dans le hameau de Harrowby de la municipalité rurale de Russell-Binscarth. Aucun rejet dans l’environnement n’est proposé à partir du bassin de refroidissement.

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

STANDARD MANUFACTURERS SERVICES LTD – MUNROE WEST ALUMINUM FOUNDRY – FILE: 6155.00

Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd. proposed the continued operation of an aluminum foundry including foundry, heat treating and machining operations located at 691 Golspie Street in the City of Winnipeg. The facility manufactures 2 to 150 lbs of various types of castings from aluminum ingot for Canadian and US manufacturers.
