Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

MANITOBA ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE, PARKS BRANCH – OROK SIDING WASTEWATER TREATMENT LAGOON - FILE: 3164.10

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change, Parks Branch proposes to alter the discharge period for the Orok Siding wastewater treatment lagoon, located at SE 26 57 25 WPM, NE 26-57-25 WPM, SW 25-57-25 WPM in Clearwater Lake Provincial Park. The proposal is to change the current discharge window of September 16–October 31 to June 15–October 31, to increase the lagoon’s hydraulic capacity without expansion while maintaining protection of the downstream wetland and Little Frog Creek.

Information submitted in response to this proposal will be available to the proponent and placed on the public registry per Section 17 of The Environment Act.
