Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

NEW ERA AG TECHNOLOGIES – SEED CLEANING PLANT – FILE: 6311.00

New Era Ag Technologies proposes to construct and operate a new seed cleaning plant at its existing facility located on Lot #1 Block #1 Plan #2554 at 540 3rd Ave S, Swan River, Manitoba. The facility will use a dry mechanical and optical sorting process to clean cereals, pulses and oilseeds. The proposed facility is expected to operate 60 hours per week, for up to 10 hours per day, Monday through Saturday. The design capacity of the plant is approximately 11-13 tonnes per hour for cereals (e.g., wheat, rye, barley) and 6-8 tonnes per hour for pulses (e.g., beans, peas).
