Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

NEEPAWA-GLADSTONE CO-OPERATIVE LIMITED – INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL ANHYDROUS AMMONIA TANKS AT EXISTING BULK MATERIAL HANDLING FACILITY – FILE: 4525.10

Neepawa-Gladstone Cooperative Limited proposes to expand the anhydrous ammonia storage capacity at its existing bulk material handling facility located at NW 27-14-12 WPM in the Rural Municipality of Westlake-Gladstone. The proposal includes the installation of three additional 90-metric tonne anhydrous ammonia storage tanks and the construction of a new site access. The existing facility has been in operation since 2001 and includes a crop protection products warehouse, bulk granular/liquid fertilizer blending and storage areas, a 60-metric tonne anhydrous ammonia storage tank, and associated distribution facilities.

Neepawa-Gladstone Cooperative Limited propose d’augmenter la capacité d’entreposage d’ammoniac anhydre de son installation existante de manutention de matières en vrac, située dans le nord-ouest de la section 27-14-12 O.M.P., dans la municipalité rurale de Westlake-Gladstone. Le projet prévoit l’installation de trois réservoirs supplémentaires d’entreposage d’ammoniac anhydre d’une capacité de 90 tonnes métriques chacun, ainsi que la construction d’un nouvel accès au site. L’installation existante est opérationnelle depuis 2001 et comprend un entrepôt de produits phytosanitaires, des aires de mélange et d’entreposage d’engrais granulés et liquides en vrac, un réservoir d’entreposage d’ammoniac anhydre d’une capacité de 60 tonnes métriques, ainsi que des installations de distribution connexes.
