Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Sustainable Development has received a proposal pursuant to The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

CITY OF STEINBACH – LAND APPLICATION OF BIOSOLIDS – FILE: 5659.10

A proposal was filed on behalf of the City of Steinbach for an ongoing program for the removal of biosolids from the City’s wastewater treatment lagoon located on portions of SE 8-7-6 EPM. The biosolids will be periodically removed from the cells of the lagoon, transported to City owned farmlands, and applied to land in accordance with provincial regulatory requirements over a 25-year period. The portions of the eleven parcels of land where the biosolids will be applied are located within SE 9-7-6 EPM, N1/2 of 10-7-6 EPM, SW 15-7-6 EPM, 8-7-6 EPM, SE 17-7-6 EPM, and Lot 1, Plan 14671 WLTO in the City of Steinbach.

Avis de dépôt de projet en vertu de la Loi sur l'environnement

Le ministère du Développement durable du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :

VILLE DE STEINBACH – ÉPANDAGE DE BIOSOLIDES SUR LES TERRES – DOSSIER : 5659.10

Un projet a été déposé au nom de la Ville de Steinbach visant un programme continu d’élimination des biosolides de l’étang d’épuration de l’eau usée de la ville, se trouvant sur des portions de SE 8-7-6 E.M.P. Au cours d’une période de 25 ans, les biosolides seront régulièrement retirés des cellules de l’étang, transportés aux terres agricoles appartenant à la ville et épandus sur les terres conformément aux exigences réglementaires provinciales Les portions des onze parcelles où seront épandus les biosolides se trouvent aux endroits suivants : SE 9-7-6 E.M.P, la moitié nord de 10-7-6 E.M.P, SO 15-7-6 E.M.P, 8-7-6 E.M.P, SE 17-7-6 E.M.P et le lot 1 du plan 14671 du B.T.F.W de la ville de Steinbach.
