Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment, Climate and Parks has received a proposal under The Environment Act regarding the following operation and invites public participation in the review process:

RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF BROKENHEAD – TYNDALL-GARSON WATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE – FILE: 6154.00

The Rural Municipality of Brokenhead filed an Environment Act Proposal to upgrade and run its water treatment plant. The plant will serve Tyndall and Garson. Its capacity will increase to 32.4 litres per second. The proposed upgrade would include the following: the installation of two more supply wells in the road allowance south of the existing water treatment plant in NW 2-13-6E; a pipeline connection from the wells to the water treatment plant; two more nanofiltration and reverse osmosis treatment units; and a new treated water reservoir immediately west of the plant. Backwash water and reverse osmosis concentrate will continue to be discharged to the municipal wastewater treatment lagoon.

Avis de dépôt de projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement

Le ministère de l’Environnement, du Climat et des Parcs du Manitoba a reçu un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement relativement à l’activité suivante et invite le public à participer au processus d’examen :

MUNICIPALITÉ RURALE DE BROKENHEAD – MODERNISATION DE LA STATION DE TRAITEMENT DE L’EAU DE TYNDALL-GARSON – DOSSIER : 6154.00

Un projet en vertu de la Loi sur l’environnement a été déposé par la municipalité rurale de Brokenhead pour la modernisation et l’exploitation de sa station de traitement de l’eau. La station desservira Tydall et Garson. La capacité de la station augmentera à 32,4 litres par seconde. La modernisation proposée comprendrait l’installation de deux nouveaux puits d’approvisionnement dans la réserve de route au sud de l’usine de traitement de l’eau existante au quart N.O. de la section 2-13-6E; d’un raccordement de canalisation allant des puits à la station de traitement de l’eau; de deux autres unités de traitement par nanofiltration et par osmose inverse; et d’un nouveau réservoir d’eau traitée juste à l’ouest de la station. L’eau de lavage et le concentré d’osmose inverse continueront d’être déversés dans l’étang d’épuration municipal.
