Notice of Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act Application

Manitoba Environment, Climate and Parks invites and welcomes comments on the following Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act application:

RORKETON WASTE TRANSFER STATION HAZARDOUS WASTE DEPOT – FILE: 6160.00

The Rural Municipality of Lakeshore seeks to run a hazardous waste depot at 714 Main Street, Rorketon, Manitoba. If approved, the depot will collect and store household hazardous waste. Waste will then go to a licensed facility for processing, reuse, or disposal. No waste will be disposed of onsite.

Anyone affected by the operation and who wishes to comment on the proposal should contact Mehak Bajwa, Senior Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Mehak.Bajwa@gov.mb.ca no later than February 9, 2023.
