Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

SAPPHIRE SPRINGS INC. - FISH HATCHERY - FILE: 6166.10

Sapphire Springs Inc. proposes to expand and operate an Arctic Char fish hatchery in NE 18-15-3 EPM in the Rural Municipality of Rockwood. The proposed work will include adding a finishing process to their facility that will increase the water use from approximately 15.8 to a maximum of 250 litres per second from existing wells at the site. If approved, treated effluent will be discharged into the existing ditch and eventually enter Wavey Creek.

Sapphire Springs Inc. propose d’agrandir et d’exploiter une écloserie d’omble chevalier dans le quart nord-est de la section 18-15-3 E.M.P., dans la municipalité rurale de Rockwood. Les travaux proposés comprendront l’ajout à l’installation d’un procédé de finition qui augmentera la consommation d’eau, prélevée dans les puits qui sont déjà aménagés sur les lieux, d’environ 15,8 litres jusqu’à un maximum de 250 litres par seconde. Si le projet est approuvé, les effluents traités seront rejetés dans le fossé actuel et finiront leur course dans le ruisseau Wavey.

TOWN OF STONEWALL - REGIONAL WATER TREATMENT PLANT - FILE: 6227.00

The Town of Stonewall proposes to expand and upgrade the existing water treatment plant in Stonewall to serve the communities of Warren and Woodlands in the Rural Municipality of Woodlands. The expansion will include a reverse osmosis water treatment plant with a capacity of up to 80 litres per second, a new concentrate pipeline, new regional water supply lines to Warren and Woodlands, new reservoir at Warren, and other infrastructure upgrades. It will draw water from the newly installed groundwater supply wells located on the plant’s property. The plant will discharge the concentrate water to Grassmere Creek Drain from May 1 to October 31 and to the town’s existing lagoon cell from November 1 to April 30. The water supply and concentrate pipelines will be routed through the rights-of-way of various municipal roads.

Le ministère de l’Environnement et du Changement climatique invite le public à formuler des commentaires sur le projet suivant :

VILLE DE STONEWALL – STATION RÉGIONALE DE TRAITEMENT DE L’EAU – DOSSIER no 6227.00

La Ville de Stonewall propose d’agrandir et de moderniser la station de traitement de l’eau de Stonewall afin de desservir les collectivités de Warren et de Woodlands, dans la municipalité rurale de Woodlands. Ces travaux comprendront l’aménagement d’installations de traitement par osmose inverse d’une capacité maximale de 80 litres par seconde, une nouvelle canalisation pour l’acheminement du concentré obtenu, de nouvelles conduites pour l’approvisionnement régional en eau à destination de Warren et de Woodlands, un nouveau réservoir situé à Warren et d’autres améliorations de l’infrastructure. L’eau sera prélevée dans les puits d’approvisionnement en eau souterraine qui ont été récemment installés sur les terrains de la station. Le concentré sera déversé dans le canal de drainage du ruisseau Grassmere du 1er mai au 31 octobre et dans l’étang d’épuration actuel de la ville du 1er novembre au 30 avril. Les conduites d’acheminement de l’eau et du concentré suivront un tracé traversant les emprises de diverses routes municipales.
