Notice of Environment Act Proposal

Manitoba Environment and Climate Change invites public comment on the following proposal:

MANITOBA HYDRO - SILVER TO ROSSER TRANSMISSION PROJECT - FILE: 6234.00

Manitoba Hydro proposes to build an 18.5-kilometre, 230-kilovolt transmission line that would connect the existing Silver to Rosser transmission line to the Diageo facility in the RM of Gimli. The proposed route passes through the municipalities of Armstrong and Gimli. If approved, construction will begin in the winter of 2025/26 and be completed by Spring 2026.

Anyone likely to be affected by the proposal and who wishes to comment, should contact Bryce Wood, Environment Officer, in writing or by email at Bryce.Wood@gov.mb.ca no later than November 11, 2024. Further information is available from the Public Registry: www.gov.mb.ca/sd/eal/registries

Information submitted in response to this proposal will be available to the proponent and placed on the public registry per Section 17 of The Environment Act.

MANITOBA HYDRO – PROJET DE LIGNE DE TRANSPORT D’ÉLECTRICITÉ DE SILVER À ROSSER – DOSSIER : 6234.00

Manitoba Hydro propose de construire une ligne de transport d’électricité de 18,5 kilomètres et de 230 kilovolts qui relierait la ligne de transport d’électricité existante de Silver à Rosser à l’installation de Diageo dans la municipalité rurale de Gimli. L’itinéraire proposé traverse les municipalités d’Armstrong et de Gimli. Si le projet est approuvé, la construction commencera à l’hiver 2025-2026 et s’achèvera au printemps 2026.

Toute personne susceptible d’être touchée par le projet qui désire formuler des commentaires est invitée à communiquer avec Bryce Wood, agent de l’environnement, par écrit ou par courriel à Bryce.Wood@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard le 11 novembre 2024.
