Notice of Environment Act Proposal
Manitoba Environment and Climate invites your comment on the following proposal:
TREESBANK COLONY FARMS – IRRIGATION PROJECT – FILE: 6172.00
Treesbank Colony Farms seeks to construct an agricultural irrigation project north of Wawanesa, Manitoba. They plan to draw surface water from the Assiniboine River to irrigate 1,256 hectares of annual cropland within the Municipalities of Glenboro-South Cypress and Oakland-Wawanesa. If approved, they plan to build the project in phases starting as early as 2023.
Anyone likely to be affected by the above operation and who wishes to comment on the proposal should contact Jay Mak, Senior Environmental Engineer, in writing or by email at Jay.Mak@gov.mb.ca no later than June 10, 2023. Information submitted in response to this proposal will be available to the proponent and placed on the public registry per Section 17 of The Environment Act.

Le ministère de l’Environnement et du Climat invite le public à formuler des commentaires sur le projet suivant :

Treesbank Colony Farms cherche à construire un projet d’irrigation agricole au nord de Wawanesa, au Manitoba. L’entreprise prévoit puiser de l’eau de surface dans la rivière Assiniboine pour irriguer 1 256 hectares de terres cultivées annuelles dans les municipalités de Glenboro-South Cypress et d’Oakland-Wawanesa. En cas d’approbation, elle prévoit construire le projet en plusieurs phases à partir de 2023.
Toute personne susceptible d’être touchée par l’activité susmentionnée qui désire formuler des commentaires sur le projet est invitée à communiquer avec Jay Mak, ingénieur principal en environnement, par écrit ou par courriel à l’adresse Jay.Mak@gov.mb.ca, au plus tard le 10 juin 2023.
